Born in Switzerland in 1973, Adrien Barakat graduated as an architect in 1999 and practiced this profession for over 10 years in Switzerland and the USA.
The experience gained during these years allowed him to develop a critical eye, a deep understanding of space, and an increased attention to detail. After practicing both architecture and photography in parallel for 3 years, he fully dedicated himself to architectural photography in 2013, with clients primarily related to architecture, design, and art.
His photographic works are published in Switzerland and abroad, and his images are regularly recognized in international photography competitions.
Since 2015, he has been organizing architectural photography workshops in partnership with Nikon and also gives lectures in architectural firms and schools.
Furthermore, since 2016, he has been collaborating with Nikon Tokyo for the promotion of new equipment specific to architectural photography.
Finally, his photographic works have been exhibited in New York, Beijing, London, Berlin, Zurich, Bern, and Geneva.
